# How to read the dashboard and analytics

> Read the workspace dashboard, follow the getting started checklist, and use the Analytics tabs to see how contacts and emails perform over time.

Product: Kelune CRM Cloud (hosted by us). Page: https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/dashboard-overview

The dashboard is the first page of a workspace. It shows the workspace's size and recent activity at a glance. **Analytics** goes deeper, with charts for contacts, emails, and campaigns over a date range you choose.

> **Note:**
>
> The dashboard and **Analytics** need the permission to view analytics. A member without it opens the workspace on the first section their role allows.

## Read the dashboard

Click **Dashboard** at the top of the sidebar.

The checklist's tasks are **Create a tag**, **Add your first contact**, **Design an email template**, **Send a campaign**, and **Build an automation**. Each one links to the page where you do it.

Click the refresh button next to the title to load the newest numbers.

> **Tip:**
>
> For one campaign's results, open the campaign itself instead. Its report has recipients, links, devices, and locations. See [How to send your first campaign](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/first-campaign#read-the-report).

## How far back analytics go

Each plan keeps a set number of days of analytics history. Dates older than that cannot be picked, and the page says how many days your plan keeps. See [How to check plans, usage, and billing](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/plans-and-usage).

## Common questions

**Why are open rates zero?** Open tracking may be off. Check **Track email opens** under **Settings**, then **Compliance**. See [How to set up general settings](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/general-settings#choose-what-to-track).
