# How to set global email settings

> Set the workspace's default sender and reply-to address, write the footer every email ends with, and choose where people land after they unsubscribe.

Product: Kelune CRM Cloud (hosted by us). Page: https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/email-campaigns/global-email-settings

Global email settings are the workspace defaults for every email you send: who it comes from, where replies go, and the footer with the unsubscribe link. Set them once when you start, and change them when your business details change.

> **Note:**
>
> You need the permission to manage settings. The Owner, Admin, and Manager roles have it by default.

## Set the default sender

1. Click **Settings** in the sidebar.
2. Under **Email**, click **Global email**.
3. Enter the **From name** recipients see in their inbox, such as your business name.
4. Enter the **From email**. Use an address on a domain your email provider can send from.
5. Enter a **Reply-to name** and **Reply-to email** if replies should go somewhere other than the From address.
6. Click **Save settings**.

These values are used only when nothing more specific is set. Each part of the sender comes from the first of these that has it:

1. The sender set on the campaign, sequence, or automation step.
2. The sender of the email provider that sends it. See [How to connect an email provider](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/connect-email-provider).
3. **Global email**.

> **Caution:**
>
> If the From email is on a domain your provider is not set up for, providers reject the email or inboxes mark it as spam. Most providers also need the domain's SPF and DKIM records in place.

## Write the footer

The **Footer content** under **Footer & unsubscribe** is added to the end of campaigns, recurring campaigns, sequence emails, automation emails, and test emails.

1. Edit the text in the footer editor.
2. Click **Merge tags** to insert `{{business_name}}`, `{{business_address}}`, or `{{unsubscribe_url}}`.
3. Keep the unsubscribe link. Select the link text and link it to `{{unsubscribe_url}}`.
4. Click **Save settings**.

The business name and address come from [General settings](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/getting-started/general-settings).

> **Note:**
>
> The footer must contain `{{unsubscribe_url}}`; the page will not save without it. The law in most countries requires your business name, a postal address, and a way to unsubscribe in every marketing email, and inboxes are more likely to mark email without them as spam.

A design made in the visual editor can use its own footer instead. See [How to design email templates](https://kelunecrm.com/docs/cloud/email-campaigns/email-templates).

## Choose the unsubscribe page

When someone clicks the unsubscribe link, Kelune CRM Cloud unsubscribes them and shows a confirmation page.

To send them to your own page instead, enter its address in **Redirect after unsubscribe** and click **Save settings**. Leave it blank to show the built-in page.

Unsubscribing changes the contact's status to **Unsubscribed** for the whole workspace, so they stop getting your email, whatever lists they are in.
